Your City Saturdays at Lowell National Historical Park

Park Rangers create art with kids at this summer’s “Art in the Park” program.

Looking for FREE fun activities to do with the kids? The Lowell National Historical Park has got your back – on the third Saturday of each month from October 20 through April 20 with Your City Saturdays.

The program, held at the LNHP Visitor Center (246 Market St.) is a free drop-in event running from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and including art projects led by park rangers including stamping and printmaking, recycled art inventions, puppet making, window boxes and other crafts centered around the theme “Imagining Our City.”

Following the art project, the kids will participate in a sing-along, accompanied by ukulele and other crowd-pleasing instruments, followed by a read-along.

Your City Saturdays is aimed at fostering a love and understanding of the Park and the city’s rich history, creating future stewards. It is a continuation of this past summer’s successful “Art in the Park” series, where 800 kids and their families created historically-themed artwork at Boardinghouse Park, partnering with the Lowell Summer Music Series.

Your City Saturday dates are: October 20, November 17, December 15, January 19, February 16, March 16, and April 20.
