Lowell Welcomes MVP

MVP 049On Friday afternoon, a celebration was held at 262 Merrimack Street to welcome Laura and Joseph Blair and their business, MVP Testing LLC to their new location in downtown Lowell.

MVP 012The business, run by Joseph, a retired Somerville police officer, and his wife Laura, conducts DNA testing used to determine paternity for child support/custody cases, as well as familial ties for inheritance cases, or simply for peace of mind.

MVP also handles forensic testing to assist in civil and criminal cases; for instance, they were recently able to help determine who was driving a car involved in an accident by testing blood left on the driver’s side airbag.

Additionally, DNA genetic testing may be required for immigration, such as when a relative from overseas is requesting permanent residency to live in the U.S., or when the government requires proof of relationship to grant U.S. citizenship to a child born abroad. MVP Testing is equipped to work with foreign countries to acquire samples and get the testing and paperwork completed.

MVP also offers CPR and First Aid classes, drug and alcohol testing, and infidelity DNA testing.

The downtown Lowell location is their second office, the other is located on South Broadway Street in Lawrence.
